Classic Paintings - Reimagined

A new set of museum-quality giclée fine art prints just dropped, each one a deliberate, sensual reimagining of a famous classical painting. These aren’t parodies or pastiches. They’re acts of reclamation. Same bones, same art-historical weight, but with the male body restored to the center of the story.

Flaming June, Reclaimed
Drawn from Frederic Lord Leighton’s Flaming June (1895), this reimagining replaces the iconic female figure with a male body curled in sleep. The heat, the stillness, the vulnerability remain. What changes is the gaze. Strength and softness coexist without explanation.
The Flower Vendor, Reimagined
Based on The Flower Vendor (1882) by Victor-Émile Prouvé, this piece keeps the original’s lush symbolism but strips away its moral distance. Flowers and skulls still speak of impermanence, but the figure no longer performs innocence or warning. He stands present, embodied, and fully aware of his own beauty.
Cupid and Psyche
Inspired by Jacques-Louis David’s Cupid and Psyche, the original hanging in the Cleveland Museum of Art, this version shifts the myth into something quieter and more intimate. Love here is not theatrical or divine. It’s relaxed, mutual, and human. Two men at rest, choosing each other without spectacle.
Leonardo and the Soldier
A reinterpretation of John William Waterhouse’s Lamia and the Soldier (1905), this piece leans into tension and desire rather than warning. Armor gives way to skin. Power becomes negotiable. The moment is charged, suspended between surrender and control.
Lady Godiva, Unbound
Based on John Collier’s Lady Godiva (1897), this final work flips the legend entirely. The rider is no longer punished by exposure. He owns it. Naked, composed, and sovereign, he rides without apology, the spectacle becoming an assertion rather than a sacrifice.
All prints are produced as high-quality giclées and can be ordered in almost any size, from subtle accents to bold statement pieces.
