A piece of nudist history in northern New Jersey is officially on the market. The former Goodland Country Club, a longtime clothing-optional resort in Mount Olive, has been listed for $2.9 million after closing its doors in 2024 when owner Jack announced his retirement.

The 35-acre property includes a Victorian-era mansion with ten furnished rooms, fireplaces, hardwood floors, and an efficiency apartment. Scattered across the grounds are roughly two dozen one-room cabins, RV and trailer sites, established campsites with fire pits, a recreation hall, and several workshops. Guests once gathered around the in-ground pool, hot tub, sun deck, picnic areas, and sports courts that made the resort a quiet escape for generations of nudists.
Because the land sits within New Jersey Highlands regulations, major redevelopment or subdivision is limited. That means the property’s best future may lie in restoring or continuing its original spirit as a retreat. For the right buyer, this could be a rare chance to bring a beloved nudist destination back to life.
