Many M365 users don’t realize their subscription includes 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage that can automatically be use to backup their computer data.
Many of my clients already have a Microsoft 365 (M365) subscription but aren’t taking full advantage of everything it offers. Along with familiar apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and more, M365 also includes 1TB of cloud storage through OneDrive. OneDrive can automatically back up files stored in your Desktop, Documents, Pictures, Music, and Videos folders, which means your computer is essentially backed up (with the exception of the Downloads folder). Another big benefit is file syncing—if you have multiple computers, your files stay in sync across all devices. And because it’s cloud storage, you can access your files from anywhere in the world using a web browser.
I’m often asked what “cloud storage” means. The easiest way to think of it is as a magic online hard drive. Instead of keeping your photos, documents, or videos only on your phone or computer, they’re stored securely online, so you can access them from any device, anywhere, as long as you’re connected to the internet☁️.
