Saturday is Pi Day. Yes, the nerdiest holiday on the calendar. March 14. Three. Point. Fourteen. Somewhere a mathematician is lighting candles around a calculator and whispering sweet nothings to a circle.
Now I’m not saying you have to celebrate it with formulas and geometry, but the holiday does come with a very convenient loophole. It’s perfectly acceptable to spend the day enjoying pie. Apple pie. Cherry pie. Cream pie. Pizza pie. Any round delicious object will technically satisfy the mathematical requirements.
Frankly, if you’re not celebrating Pi Day by putting some kind of pie in your mouth, you’re doing the holiday wrong.
